ABOUT THE PROJECT
I love working with start-ups. Will found me through a mutual friend, and his app Immerse, helps millennials learn the real nitty gritty of a language – swear words, slang and most importantly, how to order a beer. I thought it was a pretty great idea.
They were looking for a brand direction for the new iOS app. Working with five different languages meant they needed something that could be understood by anyone at a glance, no matter their native tongue. This led me to focus on symbols and icons to communicate the key brand values, making it recognisable and comfortable.
Will and his team were chuffed with the result. They have since launched the app into the market, and taken on the colour scheme that I suggested throughout their brand and website. “Iconic” is what they were after, and that’s literally what they got!
